Shopify store audit
Shopify Store Audit and Fixes
Traffic but too few sales? A Shopify store audit follows a shopper from the first page to the order confirmation and finds where buyers drop off: slow pages, app bloat, weak product pages, costs that appear late or a checkout problem. Then we fix the biggest leak first.
What the audit checks
- Speed and Core Web Vitals on mobile, including the scripts each app adds.
- The funnel in your analytics: where visitors stop between product page, cart, checkout and order.
- Product and collection pages: photos, descriptions, variants, reviews and the add-to-cart button.
- Costs and delivery: whether shipping, taxes and delivery times show up early enough.
- Trust: returns, contact details, payment options and store policies.
- Checkout and payments: test orders on each payment method, on phone and desktop.
- Search visibility: indexing, product data and duplicate product URLs.
How it works
- Access. You add us as a collaborator on your Shopify admin and share view access to your analytics. No passwords are needed.
- Review. We go through the store as a shopper on phone and desktop, then check the data behind each step.
- Report. A prioritized list: what is broken, what it costs you and the order to fix it.
- Fix. We fix the issues you approve, or hand the list to your team.
- Re-check. We compare the funnel after the fixes with the numbers before.
Common leaks we find
- Shipping costs or delivery times that appear only at checkout.
- Apps that load scripts on every page, and code left behind by apps you uninstalled.
- Product pages with thin descriptions, missing sizes or unclear variants.
- A checkout step that fails on one payment method or one device.
- Theme customizations lost in an update, leaving broken sections.

Why does my Shopify store get traffic but no sales?
Usually one of five things: the visitors aren’t ready to buy, pages load slowly on mobile, product pages don’t answer the shopper’s questions, costs appear late, or a checkout step fails. Your analytics funnel shows which step loses people, and a test order on each payment method rules out a broken checkout.
Why do shoppers abandon checkout?
In Baymard Institute’s research, the most common reason is extra costs such as shipping, taxes and fees (40% of shoppers who abandoned, leaving out those just browsing). Slow delivery (20%), not trusting the site with card details (19%), being asked to create an account (18%) and a long or complicated checkout (17%) follow. An audit checks each one.
Do too many apps slow down a Shopify store?
They can. Many apps add scripts to every page, and some leave code in the theme after they are uninstalled. The audit lists what each app loads, removes the leftovers and keeps only the apps that earn their place.
What access do you need?
A collaborator account on your Shopify admin, which you approve, and view access to your analytics. We don’t need your password, and you can remove the access at any time.
Is the first audit free?
Yes. The free website audit covers the main problems on your store: speed, mobile experience, product pages and checkout. A full Shopify audit with test orders, funnel analysis and fixes is quoted after a short call.
Do you also build new Shopify stores?
Yes. We build Shopify and custom stores, customize themes, set up payments and move stores from other platforms. See our Shopify and e-commerce development page.
