The problem
Everyday file and number tasks, such as merging a PDF, shrinking an image or working out take-home pay, are small jobs. The sites that offer them often ask for an account, stamp a watermark on the result or hold it back behind a paid tier.
We wanted one place where the answer to “can I just do this?” is yes, with a clear statement of what happens to the file.
What we built
A library of 198 tools
Tools are grouped by the job a person is doing: Document, Image, Conversion, Developer, Calculators, Security, Writing, Career and Productivity.
PDF and document tools
Merge, split, compress, rotate, reorder and sign PDFs, delete pages, add watermarks and page numbers, and convert between PDF, Word, JPG and PNG.
Calculators
A paycheck calculator for take-home pay after federal, state and FICA tax, a time card calculator, hourly-to-salary and salary-to-hourly converters, a tip calculator and a sales tax calculator for any US state.
Developer and security utilities
Small tools for developers and everyday security, such as a password generator, next to the file tools.
Privacy by design
Most tools run entirely on the visitor’s device, and each tool page states exactly where its processing happens. Uploads are not stored permanently.
How a visit works
- Choose your tool. Pick from PDF, image, developer, security and conversion utilities, organised by category.
- Upload or paste. Add the file, text or numbers. The tool page says where the work happens.
- Download the result. Get the output straight away, ready to email, print, submit or share.
Design and engineering choices
Keep every tool free
There are no trials, no card and no premium tier, so a visitor never meets a paywall halfway through a task.
Say where processing happens
Each tool page states whether the file stays on the device, which is the question people actually have before uploading a document.
Organise by job, not by technology
Visitors look for “merge PDF” or “paycheck calculator”, so tools are named and grouped that way.
Stay light on ordinary broadband
The site is built for everyday connections, and most tasks finish in under ten seconds.
